Alfa Laval membrane separation equipment
A single, reliable source for all membrane filtration sanitary components, engineered for perfect integration
Alongside Alfa Laval’s extensive portfolio of flat sheet membranes, spiral membranes and modules, spare parts and high-grade stainless-steel components are available whenever you need them. Every component meets stringent sanitary requirements and complies with 3-A standards, ensuring safety and confidence for use in membrane filtration systems.
Clamp fittings
Alfa Laval Membrane clamp fittings and accessories ensure leak-proof connections between the many different types of piping and components used in membrane filtration plants.
ESA, ATD and End plug devices
Save up to 30% of the energy consumption with the Alfa Laval ESA™ device and use the Alfa Laval ATD coupler and end plug to interconnect and support your spiral membranes in the membrane housing.
Membrane housings
Alfa Laval sanitary, stainless steel housings are key in Alfa Laval spiral membrane filtration systems. They are designed in different sizes and for different capacities to operate with our entire range of full-fit spiral membranes.
Safety filters
Alfa Laval safety filters provide a critical layer of protection, blocking contaminants before they reach your membrane filtration system, safeguarding your investment and ensuring long-term reliability of your equipment’s performance.
Hydraulic tools
Alfa Laval hydraulic tools for membranes are used to compress and decompress the stack of flat sheet membranes, plates and flanges contained in Alfa Laval plate-and-frame modules.
Innovative membrane filtration equipment for every application
Partner with Alfa Laval for membrane filtration systems and auxiliary equipment and enjoy seamless logistics, flawless component integration and the convenience of sourcing the full range of sanitary solutions from one trusted expert.
Available in multiple sizes and pressure ratings (PN10–PN64), Alfa Laval sanitary stainless-steel membrane housings accommodate up to five spiral membranes for microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. Their compact, lightweight design with space-saving rack mounting makes installation and element replacement quick and easy, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal flow distribution. Benefits include:
- Large ports for ideal flow distribution
- Low energy consumption and precise tolerances for minimal bypass
- High operating temperature (up to 80°C)
While the Anti-Telescoping Device (ATD) transports permeate through spiral membranes to the discharge port and prevents telescoping, the Energy Saving Anti-Telescoping (ESA™) device reduces overall energy consumption in membrane plants by minimizing bypass flow without affecting membrane crossflow. Both are available in stainless steel and polyphenylene sulfide to interconnect and support UF and RO spiral membranes inside the housing.
To ensure proper operation of your membrane filtration equipment, the end plug prevents feed flow from entering the permeate collection tube. This safety component is mounted at the front of the first spiral-wound membrane element within the housing, maintaining flow integrity and protecting the permeate channel from contamination.
First line of defense against harmful particles entering the product flow
Protect your membrane filtration plant from debris and contaminants by installing Alfa Laval safety filters in the feed line. Designed for reliability and efficiency, our membrane safety filters come in a broad range of sizes to meet your process requirements. Experience uncompromised product quality, tool-free cartridge changes for quick maintenance, and multiple micron options (50–300) for ultimate filtration flexibility.
